cupcake sprinkles
all that’s left
tiny, sweet dots
melting in my hand
memories, peppered
colorful specks
melting, gooey, soggy —
sugary.
My sprinkles are gone,
Melted into my ruddy skin
All my sweet sprinkles
melted
Now — just staring at the walls
Also, melting.
